| The 2nd and 3rd grade classes at grant elementary enjoyed some of the best solar observing yet. Again both white light and Hydrogen-Alpha filters were used for observing. The 2nd graders discussed the phases of the moon while the 3rd graders discussed solar system basics. Software Bisque's "The Sky" planetarium software was used for presenting solar system basics and planetary images. Over 100 students and teachers participated in the WYTEC presentations and viewings. | |||||
