DOUGLAS OBSERVATORY

REMOTE IMAGES

As WYTEC begins to bring its observatories on-line, teachers and students are beginning to learn the needed skills to acquire images via remote access of these facilities. The link below will take you to a library of some of the preliminary images being produced out of the Douglas observatory. This facility is currently configured with the following equipment:

  • Meade LX200 10" f/6.3 SC telescope
  • SBIG ST-9E CCD camera
  • SBIG CFW-8 filter wheel
  • RobFocus focusing system
  • ACP2 web interface software for obtaing images via an Internet connection
  • MaxIm DL software for telescop and CCD control
